What CBD is the Best: Full Spectrum CBD, Broad Spectrum CBD or CBD Isolate? | Seabedee

Full-spectrum CBD is praised for including all the cannabinoids, terpenes, essential oils and other naturally-occurring components found in the plant. All the cannabinoids present in full-spectrum CBD work together synergistically, creating a CBD extract with higher levels of longevity and power. When it comes to full spectrum CBD, one could say, “teamwork makes the dream work”, and they’d be spot on. Because full spectrum CBD includes all of the compounds produced by the plant, full spectrum is one of the most natural and effective forms that it comes in.

Now all that’s left is the “why-factor”— why choose full spectrum CBD? One of the primary reasons why is because of the specific compounds found in this CBD extract. The specific compounds found in full spectrum CBD come together to create the “entourage effect”, which has been linked to higher effectiveness.

Full spectrum CBD full-sends cannabinoid content, and by “full-send” I mean there’s over one hundred of them. The most reputable cannabinoids are THC and CBD, but there are many other important ones that are found in full-spectrum CBD as well. Below are a few of the good ones.

  • CBN: This non-intoxicating cannabinoid is what THC turns in to once it ages. There is limited research on this compound, however, studies suggest the potential benefits of CBN use may include: Antibacterial properties, neuroprotective properties, appetite stimulant, aid for glaucoma and anti-inflammatory properties.1
  • CBG: This minor cannabinoid is usually only present in small amounts of select strains, but breeders are working hard to manipulate genetic properties in order to produce more CBG. CBG studies are limited but point to benefits including: Glaucoma treatment, inflammatory bowl disease treatment, inhibiting the growth of colorectal cancer cells, antibacterial agency, inhibiting muscle contractions and appetite stimulant.
  • CBC:   Also called Cannabichromene, this compound has been linked to several potential benefits, including: Help aid feelings of anxiousness, pain relief, anti-inflammatory properties, promotes relaxation and it has anti-viral properties.
  • CBDA: This chemical compound is the precursor to CBD and will become CBD once heated and aged. Before transforming into CBD, CBDA may be used for its several possible benefits, including: anti-inflammatory properties, pain relief, antibacterial properties, easing nausea, serotonin receptor activation and it has anti-proliferative properties.
  • THC: Before I go in depth about THC I’d like to first reiterate that the THC content involved in any hemp-derived CBD in the U.S., including full spectrum CBD, has no more than 0.3% THC content. With that being said, there is a minuscule amount of THC involved in full spectrum CBD, but CBD is known to potentially diminish the THC’s psychoactive effects. Furthermore, THC may contribute to or amplify the CBD’s therapeutic effects.
